In his essay “Wotan”, psychologist Carl Jung defined the personality of Adolf Hitler as “malignant narcissism”, adding that his election by a overwhelming majority was not by chance but secondary to the fact that he was the worst of the German people at the time. A worrisome parallelism is taking place with the current president of the United States. The reason for his election seems to rest in what American film director Robert Altman said: that the United States is sinking towards total stupidity, something that it was probably demonstrated by the double election of George W. Bush.

In a previous essay[1] I proposed that the structure of consciousness (gross, subtle, causal, non-dual) comes from the dynamic structure of the cosmos itself (matter, quantum reality, dark matter, dark energy), and that the universe is an informational storehouse that accumulates information as it interacts, expands, and evolves. In short, our consciousness (and evolution itself) is a fractal iteration of the Kosmic Mind, which is none other than the evolving universe as a whole.[2]

DOES USURY CAUSE THE SELF-CONTRACTION? - JIM O'CONNOR

There is a growing awareness in the field of alternative economics that our society's current system of money creation has detrimental economic, environmental and social consequences. Many authors have now analysed this system and its effects and concluded that an alternative must be found if humanity is to solve its most pressing problems. In this posting I would like to look at the effect of this system on the character structure of the individual citizen and explore whether it may be a contributing cause of the so-called "self-contraction" (or tendency toward "self-grasping") described in the spiritual literature. I will then suggest how an alternative system advocated by some monetary-reformists may successfully address the problem.
