The critical nature of some of these essays might require some explanation, or should I say "justification"? Over the years "The World of Ken Wilber" has been the only place on the web for large scale and independent conceptual reflections on major integral concepts, such as: holarchy, quadrants, holons, states, integral politics, etcetera. I have allways taken it to be an obvious principle, that healthy spiritual and intellectual growth need a climate in which difference of opinion is welcomed encouraged and even welcomed. For example, some recent essays focus on the nature and content of the Upper Right quadrant. Does it cover only neurology, matter, or subtle matter, or human behavior as such, or perhaps Form in all its manifestations? -- or all of the above? Does it matter? Some think it does. Read on! In this spirit, I offer you the following: 03/22/04: The essay "The Depth of the Exteriors 3: Cooley and Mead and the Social Behaviourist View of Development in the Exterior Quadrants" by Mark Edwards has been added to the Reading Room. 03/06/04: A German translation by HaPe Lin of Wilber's essay "Death, rebirth and meditation" has been posted in the German Section. 03/06/04: The essay "The Depth of the Exteriors 2: Piaget, Vygotsky, Harre and the Social Mediation of Development" by Mark Edwards has been added to the Reading Room. 02/29/04: A brief reply called "Some Thoughts on the States Thing" by Mark Edwards to the first "Critic's Circle" posting on Integral Naked discussing one of his papers has been posted in the Reading Room. 02/28/04: The essay "Left, Right or just plain wrong? - Politics in the integral movement" by Ray Harris has been added to the Reading Room.
