BILL CLINTON PROMOTES KEN WILBER

At the recent World Economic Forum Bill Clinton mentioned 
the work of Ken Wilber to a large gathering of business people, 
and refered to "A Theory of Everything" saying: "...the problem 
is the world needs to be more integrated but it requires a 
consciousness that’s way up here, and an ability to see beyond 
the differences among us... "

IS ISLAM REALLY A RELIGION OF PEACE?

Ray Harris questions the idea that 'true' Islam is a religion 
of peace.
He writes: "Islam was never a religion of peace. It is a religion 
based on a warrior code... In seeking to defend Islam against 
the claim that it promotes violence many Muslims have said that 
'Islam' means peace, or that Islam is a religion of peace. 
Unfortunately this is just plain wrong.

BALD AMBITION SERIES: INDIVIDUAL CONSCIOUSNESS

Jeff Meyerhoff continues his critical reading of Ken Wilber's 
claims and methods in his chapter on individual consciousness. 
He concludes: 
"Wilber's model is strongly developmental because he has a 
strong idea of where humanity should go. This is why Bernard 
Kaplan writes that 'Development does not lurk directly in the 
population(s) studied but resides fundamentally in the perspective 
used.' He presents his model of development as if it is what has 
been discovered by science and so is a reflection of what is, 
but all developmental models are value-laden and so they tell 
us different ways people develop depending on the psychologist's 
belief about how people should develop."
